Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026 · LIKE A KING INC. ("we") operates BIOS Advisor.

The short version: we collect what we need to review your machines, never your serial numbers, MAC addresses, product keys or passwords, and we never sell your data.

Your account

When you create an account we store your email address, your name if you give one, and a salted, hashed password (we never store the password itself). If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and a Google account identifier with us; we do not receive your Google password or access anything else in your Google account. We use this only to sign you in, show you your machines and licences, and send account and billing emails. You can ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact form.

1. What we collect

• Account: your email address, and your company name if you add it.
• Machine data (from the agent you install): hardware model numbers (board, CPU, memory, graphics, drives), BIOS vendor, version and date, current setting names and values, security state (Secure Boot, TPM, disk-encryption on/off), devices with errors, and the computer name you see in the dashboard. We don't collect serial numbers, UUIDs, MAC addresses, product keys, BIOS or Windows passwords, your files, or browsing data.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive the plan, amount and status, never your full card number.
• Usage: basic logs (sign-ins, scans, reviews, approvals, errors) to run and secure the Service.
• Messages you send through our contact forms.

2. Why we use it

• To provide the Service: scans, reviews, change plans, approvals, verification and support (contract).
• To keep it secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• To bill you (contract and legal obligations).
• To improve our board knowledge, only with your consent, using anonymized board and setting data.
• To send product and billing emails. Marketing emails only with consent, always with a one-click unsubscribe.

3. AI processing

When you request a review, the machine data above is sent to the AI provider you choose. With your own key it goes from your device to that provider under your agreement with them. With included reviews we send it to our AI provider under terms that prohibit training on it. With a local model it never leaves your machine. We never use your machine data to train AI models without your opt-in.

4. Who receives it

Service providers that help us run BIOS Advisor (hosting, payments by Stripe, email delivery, the AI provider you choose), bound by contracts to use it only for us. Authorities when the law requires it. A buyer or successor if LIKE A KING INC. is involved in a merger or acquisition, under this policy. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.

5. Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies. If we add optional analytics, they stay off until you agree.

6. How long we keep it

Account and machine data: while your account is active, then 30 days after deletion (backups roll off within 90 days). Billing records: as long as tax law requires. Contact messages: up to 2 years.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data at any time from the dashboard or through our contact form. Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA, and Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states), you may also have rights to know, to opt out of sale or sharing (we don't sell or share), to limit use of sensitive data (we don't collect it), to appeal a decision, and not to be discriminated against for using your rights. Authorized agents may act for you with proof.

8. Children

BIOS Advisor isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child gave us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

Agents connect outbound over encrypted connections and pair with one-time codes. Changes need the owner's approval. Passwords and keys are never sent to the AI or stored on our servers. If a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Changes and contact
